Welcome to What's Cooking, our version of a good old fashioned recipe exchange! Share your recipes with us to be featured! Our team created this series as a way to exchange recipes between club members and friends around the country—sort of like setting the table together, even with miles between us. PEAK SEASON: HEIRLOOM BLT
INGREDIENTS
• Heirloom tomatoes (sliced thick)
• Bacon (from Black Pig Meat Co.)
• Good bread
• Little Gem lettuce
• Mayo
INSTRUCTIONS
To grill the bread, or not to grill the bread? We prefer soft bread and crispy bacon, but we'll let you decide what works for you there.
Slice your tomatoes thick and salt generously.
Grill bacon to your preference, and put mayo on both slices of bread PLEASE!
This classic BLT is not reinventing the wheel, it's just a staple from our PAX harvest days!
